The Tsinandali Festival will invite a selected group of 22 extraordinary young musicians (aged 18-28) from all over the world, who specialize in piano, violin, viola, and cello to participate in Tsinandali Festival Academy for two weeks in September 2019.

The Tsinandali Festival Academy teaching faculty will include Frans Helmerson, Mihaela Martin, Hartmut Rohde, Gábor Takács-Nagy and Rita Wagner.

Each musician will have solo masterclasses, chamber music experiences, and performances in public. They will listen to and meet some of the world’s leading professors, soloists, and conductors and will be mentored by experienced industry professionals. Based on the unique environment of Tsinandali Estate, they will immerse themselves in personal reflection and local culture.

Their participation will be musical, culturally, professionally and personally enriching and life-changing.

What Is The Tsinandali Festival Academy (Tfa)?

The TFA is a two-week learning experience with world-class professors for extraordinary young musicians from all around the world and specialized in piano, violin, viola and cello.

The admission to the TFA will be through the GetAcceptd platform.

TFA Dates: arrive in Tbilisi 8th September 2019, depart 23rd September 2019.

Every TFA musicians will perform at the Tsinandali Festival Chamber Music Hall on the 20th September 2019.

The costs of the selected participants – travel, accommodation, and meals – will be entirely covered by the Tsinandali Festival.

Who Can Apply?

Age: from 18 to 28 years old as of 1 September 2019

Nationality: all accepted

Instruments: piano, violin, viola and cello

Deadline for TFA Applications: 30 April 2019

Confirmation of TFA Acceptance: End of Mid-May 2019.

In this online application, you will be asked to upload:

a headshot

a resume describing academic and professional achievements

3 separate contrasting (and recent) recordings of complete movements, of which one should be video.

For pianists, all three recordings should be solo pieces.

For string players, one recording should be unaccompanied.
